Chief Guest Hon\u2019ble Minister of Industries, Commerce &amp; Enterprises and Public Enterprises &amp; Industrial Reconstruction and Women, Child Development &amp; Social Welfare of the Government of West Bengal, Dr. Sashi Panja inaugurated the Meet in the presence of Top Industry Leaders!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The occasion was graced by eminent dignitaries Mr. H M Hennayake, President SAFA, CA. Nihar N. Jambusaria, Vice President, SAFA, CMA H. Padmanabhan, Chairman, Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB), SAFA and top leadership of ICAI, CA. (Dr.) DebashisMitra, President, ICAI, CA. Aniket S. Talati, Vice President, ICAI, CA. Subodh Kumar Agrawal, Past President, ICAI, CA. Ravi Kr. Patwa, Chairman, EIRC, CA. DebayanPatra, Vice Chairman, EIRC, CA. Sanjib&nbsp; Sanghi, Secretary, EIRC, CA. Vishnu Kr. Tulsyan, Treasurer, EIRC &amp; CA. Mayur Agrawal, Member, EIRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CA. (Dr.) Debashis Mitra, President, ICAI, in his presidential speech happily mentioned that Chartered Accountants are moving from the fields of auditing and accounting to \u201cunchartered areas\u2019\u2019 like MSME etc. He also told the gathering that CAs \u2013 the brand ambassadors of the profession \u2013 are being looked as the regulators for the Social Audit. He concluded saying that the \u201cessence and aroma of excellence, integrity and innovation\u2019\u2019 are being felt in the profession of Chartered Accountancy. He committed emotively that&nbsp; ICAI would take all best possible steps to keep the national flag high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her special address to the gathering of the \u201cBrand Ambassadors of the ICAI\u201d, Dr. Sashi Panja, the Hon\u2019ble Minister, described the fraternity of CAs as the&nbsp;<strong>Big Interface to carry forward the Vision of West Bengal.\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong>Moving further, she added that a growing misconception being built up about Bengal needs to be killed and investment in business should not be&nbsp; with political association. Talking about the theme of this&nbsp;<strong>CFO Meet&nbsp;<\/strong>she said that sustenance needs to scale up and it requires strategy. She wrapped up requesting inputs and suggestions from the fraternity and thanked for inviting her in this special programme. Referring to the \u201cwonderfully spoken\u201d deliberation by CA. (Dr.) DebashisMitra, President, ICAI, she expressed her happiness on the MSME Yatra taken up by the Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CA. Aniket S. Talati, Vice President, ICAI in his short and dynamic deliberation, mentioned that CFOs are doing their best in bringing business in the state of West Bengal. CA. Nihar N. Jambusaria, Immediate Past President, ICAI explained to the gathering the significance of organising this CFO Meet against the background of current global scenario and suggested that all Chartered Accountants to support Government in all possible ways. Other dignitaries gracing the dais also emphasised on the significance and relevance of organising this CFO Meet and greeted the entire team for offering such a grand congregation of professional intelligentsia. CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, Council Member, ICAI gave the welcome address while CA. PrabinDokania, CFO, GSTIN, Shri Supriyo Sinha,Director,The Peerless Group, CA. Sameer Madan, Director (F),Agilent Technologies, Delhi.&nbsp; Session was moderated by CA. Subhash Saraf, Past Chairman, EIRCand CA. SumitBinani, Past Chairman, EIRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, in the said CFO Meet, a comprehensive study report on the industries in West Bengal was discussed which has been prepared jointly by ICAI and St Xavier\u2019s College. The said report would be sent to individual registered email id of the registered delegates as for sustainability hard copy was not printed.
