Located on Airport Road, between Gate No. 2½ and VIP Road, the counter – officially called the Kolkata Airport Business Office (PIN 700052) – is positioned right next to the Airport Transit Mail Office. The center comes equipped with an automated mail processing system, ensuring smooth and quick booking for both domestic and international consignments.
A Boon for Flyers & Locals
Whether it’s a time-sensitive document, last-minute gift, urgent business shipment, or even critical medicines, the service offers unmatched convenience. Flyers can dispatch mail just before boarding a flight, while locals can save crucial hours instead of waiting for their neighborhood post office to open the next day.
“This facility is a blessing for us. Often, printing work for legal documents gets done late in the evening. Earlier, I had to wait until morning to courier them. Now, I can send them the same night,” said Rohit Sinha, a young lawyer from Dum Dum.
Another traveler, Priya Das, a tech consultant, added, “I was heading for an early morning international flight and realized I hadn’t sent some important papers. The 24×7 counter saved me a lot of stress.”

“The aim is to provide flexibility and reliability. Time-bound articles should not suffer delays just because regular offices are closed. This service is especially designed for urgent needs – be it medicines, documents, or parcels.”
