Kolkata witnessed a spectacular celebration of photography on August 24 – Sunday as Pexels Photowalk 2.0 unfolded against the majestic backdrop of the Victoria Memorial. The event, hosted by popular photography mentor and creator Monojit Dutta, fondly known as “Kolkatarchobiwala”, & Co-hosted by : Sunannya Das, Sanchari Nag, Souhityo Das, Shraddha Sarkar and Saptarshi Maitra – turned out to be a grand affair, drawing an overwhelming response from the city’s creative community.
With 350+ online registrations and over 150 passionate photographers gathering on ground, the photowalk became a vibrant hub of storytelling through lenses. From the timeless elegance of the Victoria Memorial to candid street captures, expressive portraits, macro frames, and breathtaking nature shots – the city turned into a living canvas.
Speaking about the success, Monojit Dutta shared:
“Hosting this photowalk was a dream come true. From being a participant once, to now creating such a huge space for artists to come together, this is just the beginning.”
